In order to be known, liked, and trusted, you have to spread the word. If you build a website and no one finds it, you have wasted your time and money.

Here at, we know for a fact if you have a website, and you have a

blog, your web presence rises significantly.  So okay, you get a blog, now what?

You know how people always make New Year’s Resolutions and then they fall by the wayside. Well, Social Media is a bit like that for many of my start up customers. Just like when you join the gym and never go, if I build you a blog and you never use it, you get those same kinds of results. Nothing will happen.

If you join the gym and don’t go, you don’t get stronger, or more fit, you don’t lose that last 10 pounds you have been trying to lose. If you have me build you a blog and you use it twice and never go back, you will not get results.

So what does work? Well, you can hire me, that will help. But if you really want to do it yourself, make a schedule and stick to it. Even then, results are not necessarily instant. Blogging alone does not create a business. You have to do what is called marketing. A blog is good support to an overall marketing plan, but you need to do other things.

Like what? Well, one is pick up the golden phone. If you have a customer base, pick one morning a week to call 5 to 10 of them, just to say hello. Thank you notes, once a quarter takes the time to handwrite a short, personal note to your best customers, and enclose a business card for them in case they refer you to a friend or family member.

Give something away. Maybe you can run a contest, or just send out a gift card. This kind of thing I would do on a rotation basis. In other words, if you have 1,000 regular customers, giving a gift card to each of them could be too expensive.  Some businesses give their customers points and when they accumulate a certain number of points they get a reward of some kind.

It takes time to build brand recognition, so remember that, have patience, do good work, network, advertise and USE your Social Media outlets regularly. Let me know if you would like our help
